Small batch means that our honey is harvested in limited quantities, with care and intention. We follow the bees natural rhythms and only collect what they are ready to share. No rushing and no mass production. Each jar reflects a specific season, location, and bloom, making every batch a little unique and extra special.

This year we sold our honey in a new bottle, a classic whisky jar that holds 12 fl oz. Honey is more dense so inside the jar you will actually have 18 oz of HONEY by weight, which equates to a little over a pound. To be exact the jar will hold about 510 grams of pure deliciousness.
You’ve actually been getting more honey than expected, which is a bonus for you! A total bang for your buck. Next summer we will adjust our labels to accurately reflect how much we are pouring in, since it is way more. This will help ensure sustainability, if you see adjustments on pricing or an increase in cost for this specific jar don’t be alarmed. We will begin to offer variations on bottle sizing. Little learning curves for us as far as figuring out weights and measurements but we are glad you guys have been getting more than you even signed up for! We are already experimenting with new unique glass bottle variations to keep things fresh, unique and funky!

If your jar has turned thick, grainy, or solid no worries! That is totally natural and actually a sign of raw, high quality honey! Honey from our hives is never pasteurized or processed so over time, the natural sugars start to solidify. Crystallized honey is perfectly safe and delicious to eat.. just a little more of a pain to pour from the bottle. If you want it smooth again, boil a pot of water, let it cool just a bit so it’s a warm temperature. Place the jar inside to hangout for a little with the cork off (dont let water get inside the jar). It will return to its liquid state. Make sure you get every last drop of that liquid gold. Enjoy.

Great question :) The color of raw, pure honey can vary from batch to batch depending on the flowers the bees visited, the season, and the location of the hive. Lighter honey often comes from spring blooms, while darker honey tends to come from late summer or fall nectar sources. Each variation is completely natural and part of what makes small batch, raw honey so special!

To keep your honey fresh and delicious, keep it sealed and store at room temperature. Keep the jar away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Honey does not spoil but storing it in a cool, dry place can help maintain its flavor and smooth texture.
